Unable to speak a word
Or hear what has to be said
You communicate with your hands
And tell me the things I want to hear.
Things I’ve never heard before
From any other man
So quiet you stay
Unable to speak a word
Or hear what has to be said.
You compliment my every move
And smile when you can.
Your eyes are like the windows
That lead into your soul
And deep within you I can see
The heart of a courageous man.
I have to give you credit
I don’t know how you do it
So patient and beautiful you remain
As you communicate with your hands.
