Hope and Glory

Blazing like a comet in the vacuum of space,
The fire burnt in the distant black,
A beacon of hope and glory.
He who stands for those who cannot,
Stands for hope and glory.
Hope encircles those who see a distant future,
Glory flows in the blood of a hero, long dead.
Stand for hope and glory when all else all fails,
The unknown will become known,
Fear will succumb to such gifts and virtues,
Stand in hope, for you will be a better person than I.
Hope, hope for glory and all mankind will follow.
Follow in your ancestral footstep,
For they once stood. Stood for hope and glory.

This seems like something I'd read in a Shakespear novella... trippy, but good writing!
