Array ( [sid] => 34104 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => See the lightening crash in his eyes [time] => 2004-02-06 18:47:20 [hometext] => This is a new start for me. I was previously registered here, but needed a new start. This poem is controversial, but not meaning any offense, but written for a friend who need some inspiration. [bodytext] => Is that your son out there,
playing with guns and getting involved with drugs?
Why aren't your protecting him
from the silver lined streets,
and the lightening flashing before his eyes?
Is that your husband crossing the fine line,
between trust and betrayal?
Is he lost and just needs to be found?
Because one by one all of the buildings left standing,
are slowly being burnt to the ground.
But it is not a crime,
within these light led streets,
to admit that you can not win this fight alone.
Read them your life as it seems.
Isn't that your only daughter,
begging you to let her go?
If someone were to cross the yellow line,
what do you think would happen?
Its all to much easier to measure all this,
with your precious two eyes.
But you cannot wait till early morning,
to wait for the tradegy that has already happened.

Is that your son out there,
playing with guns and getting involved with drugs?
Why aren't your protecting him
from the silver lined streets,
and the lightening that just flashed in his eyes. Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
