For the ability to write
For shedding on this Nothingness
A little bit of light

I’d thank the Girl who stoked the flame
And told me love was true
Her spark was what ignited me
My Linda I love you

I’d thank my parents, Mom and Dad
For all the love they showed
They taught me what life is about
They helped me learn to grow

So many others I would thank
Who’ve helped push me along
Those friends I never will forget
Their memories stay strong [comments] => 11 [counter] => 545 [topic] => 37 [informant] => wachumiri [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 18 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ThankYouPoems )

Praise the Lord for those He brings into our lives to bless and encourage us. You have been one of those people in mine. :)

Gratitude is such a beautiful emotion! In fact, I think it is impossible to separate a profound love of anything or anyone from gratitude. :) This a lovely and honest poem. A pleasure to read.

Such a lovely sentiment. Some of us are driven no matter what and some of us have people who inspire. But thankfulness for the gift is good to keep in mind during struggling time. Nice and sentimental. Cheers!

It's truly wonderful to be able to use the gift of writing to thank as well as entertain. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could be this open with the peole we love in person, and not just on paper?
