One of you by my side.
A boyfriend and girlfriend,
With so much love inside.
The perfect couple,
One all others would envy.
Always there for each other.
This vision, I still see.
A romance with no end.
Love constantly growing stronger.
But this vision didn’t end there,
It went on a bit longer.
Still gazing in your eyes I pictured,
Me, down upon one knee.
On the day I would propose,
You, my wife to be.
I could hear the words I spoke,
As I offered you my ring.
In this vision, you accepted.
Oh, how my heart began to sing.
I saw the church, on a sunny day.
My beautiful angel, in white.
I now pronounce you man and wife.
Words never seemed more right.
I lifted up your vale,
Touched my hand softly to your cheek,
Our first kiss as a married couple.
Too happy for words to speak.
Then on to the honeymoon.
Oh what a night that would be.
I’ll leave that to your imagination.
I think you’ll imagine it like me.
Now on to our new home.
I carried you across the threshold.
Your dream house with a porch.
Where our lives began to unfold.
Then I saw a hospital.
We were in the delivery room.
You were giving birth to our first child.
Our family beginning to bloom.
Our first was a little girl.
Daddy’s little princess, so sweet.
Soon after, two little boys followed.
Now our family was complete.
I pictured our happy life,
As we raised our family together.
With love and devotion, so strong,
There was no storm we couldn’t weather.
I saw the years, pass behind your eyes.
How quickly our children had grown.
You and I, still so in love,
Once again in an empty home.
After all the passing years,
Between us was still a spark.
Now with the children grown,
On unfulfilled dreams we’d embark.
We would travel the world,
Take in dinners and shows.
And I saw, after so much time,
Our love continued to grow.
I could see our anniversary,
The golden one, fifty years.
You were still so beautiful to me,
As we danced in the moonlight, my dear.
We lived the rest of our days together.
Man and woman, husband and wife.
Love, family, and dreams that came true,
What more could I ask for in life.
We spent our evenings on the porch,
Staring up at a star filled sky.
And that’s what I saw every time I looked,
Into those beautiful hazel eyes.

So sweet and loving... that's a lot to see in someone's eyes. You must truly love her.

Hey Andrew! I agree with the other person... that's a lot to see in anyone's eyes!!! But I know how that feels because I've been there before too. Great poem.. but I'm going to be late to school if I read the next one. *hugs*
