Array ( [sid] => 33981 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Splinter [time] => 2004-02-05 16:19:43 [hometext] => This is about being lost and not knowing who you are, and where you fit in society in a vauge yet terse way [bodytext] => Surrounded by the lights of the dawn,
Shadows embedded on the lawn,
Walking alone through the frost,
Searching for what is lost
Inside me

Scars beneath my skin that ya never saw,
Manifested in the surrounding thaw,
Heat surrounds the frosted ground,
Tension for what cannot be found
Inside me

Splintered of from this faded reality
Always questioning your conformity,
Never realizing the doubt,
Of my summers own drought,
Around me

Can you even question my beliefs,
About the ground beneath my feet,
Connected to the airs and the tree's
Living of the birds and the bee's
Around me

Confused in this questionable enviroment,
Only fueled by mirrored intent,
To escape this never ending plane,
Filled with suspense and pure vain,
Beneath me

Wondering why the sky has to be blue,
Wondering if I could ever get through,
This vauge unpresedented feeling,
These voices in my head always screaming,
This ground already claims me as dead,
This conformity is still spoonfed,
These feelings just wont go away,
and sometimes I wish they would stay,
Because I'm lost and I'm splintered,
My movements are already hindered,
I still dont know who I am,
Still dont know if I can

All I know in my own personal winter,
That I am that lost floating splinter,
In the sea of lost souls,
Engulfing life whole

This is a powerful poem. Great images that really make the poem reach me on a personal level. Good work!

Dang! How can you say your poetry is bad? This is a very succinct way of expressing feelings of hopelessness and confusion. Sorry, I was in the forum earlier, Please diss me, I think. I wanted to sample some of your writes just to see if you really were as bad as you make out. You're much better than I am. Please don't stop writing. You have alot of talent.
