I thought you were my shining knight.
I came to you with all my troubles
And you were there to comfort my darkest fears.
You never said a thing to hurt me,
Or make me insecure.
You loved me unconditionally
And to you I am forever in your debt.
You were there to kill that big black spider
Climbing on my wall.
And you always knew how to fix
whatever it was I broke.
Now I have grown older,
And you are not there as much.
I know that you still love me,
But what are you to do?
With every day that I pass
I still think of you.
And how you always knew
Why flowers never bloomed.
Or how the little people
Got inside the big black screen.
I sit here and think back
On all these wonderful memories
And as I lay those never blooming flowers down
Upon your grey cement bed
I think of all the memories we’ll have
Once we meet again.

Wow, that's very deep. So, so emotional. Excellent write, the love you hold really shines through in every line.

Truly,
-V.S.
