Why did he care? Why does he weep?
How much does it cost to have a dream?
For all that he has lost lowers his esteem

It seems that in the long run, you always lose
No matter which path, fun or not, you choose
All you do is study to get to the top,
Spend all your money at the coffee shop,

And no matter how much sleep you lose,
Once you stop, you drop. Pop some pills
Stop paying bills, lose your skills,
Hit rock bottom, and then it kills you

Does any of this sound familiar?
To me it does, I mean it will, and I still
Can’t give up my pride, even after I’ve cried
After I’ve been scarred, saw it was too hard,

Touched, felt, seen it all. I just can’t take it
To be seeing my limits from this close up
I’m wasting time before it blows up,

Cause I hit a new low, I need a new dose,
I’m the one who needs motivation the most. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Xenodata [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

Oh hey, I forgot to add-- I hope everything gets better for you in this situation. I haven't felt the full blow of schoolwork yet, but I guess it's inevitable.
Happier days,
Ellen
