From the two reflections before me
Your arms held me close from behind
As I built up the courage to face this

Reflection, reflection be kind to me
Show me what I want to see
I want to see a beautiful me
Standing right in front of me

I'm so afraid that what I see
Is also what you're going to see
An ugly, fat, insecure girl looking away
I'm a scared little girl looking away

Reflection, reflection be kind to me
Show me what I want to see
I want to see a beautiful me
Standing right in front of me

Alright, I'm ready to face my naked self
To face what I think you see
You watch my eyes open and you smile
"See," you say silently, "you are beautiful"

Reflection, reflection be kind to me
Show me what I want to see
I want to see a beautiful me
Standing right in front of me

I opened my eyes and finally saw beauty in me [comments] => 3 [counter] => 203 [topic] => 34 [informant] => Adreana [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )

A great write. It's funny like that, how someone an be standing there, telling you you're beautiful and it takes you ten times longer to convince yourself. Keep it up, sunshine. I'm lovin' your work, and if anyone questions you, i'll attest to you gorgeous-ness. Butterat Zool.
