Two empty tummy's
I approached a man
kneeling down to smile at his boy
offering to shake my hand.
"Whats your name?" i asked
He replied.. "Tim"
"Nice to meet you mate
You can call me Jimmy"
Dirt apon his face and hands
flannel shirt with holes he wore
pants two sizes too big for him
all tattered and torn.
Shoes worn out and hair a mess
a toy truck clenched in his fist
a bracelet made from wire
wrapped around his wrist.
"Let me shout you a meal" i said
looking up at his father
"Why help us?" his father asked
"Why do you even bother?...
Everyone around here is the same
they mock us for what we must..
what we must do to keep alive,
They look at us in disgust".
"I understand" i said
"But we are not all the same
Im here to lend you a hand
even if its just for today.
I watched you's searching
on cafe tables and through bins
for scraps of food on left over plates
for cans,bottles and tins.
I thought the least i could do
was offer you a drink
maybe your boy would like a shake?
For i know a place not far from here
for such a beautiful boy...
the finest chocolate-shake they make!"
The man gave a smile
and looked down at his little boy
smile returned
just over something simple
Little Tim was filled with joy.

That night i thought...
What if that was a test?
Sent down from up above
To test me of my faith?
To test me of my love?
Don't hesitate to help one in need
or get caught up in this world
within all its greed, hate and lies
for you never ever know..
who was sent down
as an Angel in disguise.

Coming from another little Timmy.... thank you. I've been here and it was people like you who kept me sane. Bless you and yours and may you be reimbursed twenty fold. -jason
