Array ( [sid] => 33171 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I LOVE YOU, DAD [time] => 2004-01-30 00:03:16 [hometext] => For my Dad. I love him so. I LOVE YOU DAD. Just wanted the whole world to know. [bodytext] => This is my thought to ponder
I was blessed with two Fathers
One who raised me to be who I am
The other to love me just as I am
My "Daddy" died more than a year ago
But, now, my Dad is here you know
He's helped me through the hardest times
Even makes me cry sometimes
Not because he hurts my heart
Let me explain, Let me impart
My Dad is a man of very few words
I think he finds it rather akward
When it comes to loving me
Sometimes I think I cross his boundary
I know that Dad, he loves me so
I've known that since long ago
But sometimes it's just not enough
I know for him, sometimes, It's tough
There are those times when he lets go
And starts to let his feelings show
It's in those moments when i start to cry
Even if his words are only implied
Often times I wonder though
Does he realize, Does he know
Just how much I love him and
How many times I've almost said, I love you, Dad, just offhand
I guess that I am alot like him
Maybe I should step first on that limb
So, here it goes, I love you, Dad, you know I do
And, yes, I know, You love me too!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
