I cannot escape it's temptation
Slowly feeding upon all that I am
Replacing my emptiness with lies
Opening my eyes, I can no longer see
Yearning to be blind once again
This world I see is dark and bleak
Hearts harbor unsatisfaction
God has forsaken us for all time
We cling to the lies
False hopes in disguise
There is no point in living
When the world is blind

Burning love beseiges me
I am bound to my grief and despair
Merciful love, spare me my innocence!
Whisper to me words of confort!
It whispers cold lies
A chill runs down my spine
There is no need to fear what is not real
Do not be daunted by what is to come
No matter what, there is always hope
This love will live forever
As I look ahead, through this vast reality
No light at the end of this tunnel I see
Only yearning desires and dreams
Abandoned forever
Lingering here in darkness and doubt
With no place to rest in their timeless sleep
Yet within all this darkness your presence lies
As false hopes discover their new resting place
Desensitized and opressed by the lies
For there is no point in living
When the world is blind
