Array ( [sid] => 33066 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Shipwrecked [time] => 2004-01-29 02:01:27 [hometext] => This is about being reminiscent of past love and trying hard to move on and finding love again after being so deeply hurt but finding that you feel nothing for each person you're with because you're stuck in the past. [bodytext] => I’ve sailed through the burning sea of love,
Those scorching waves I’m so reminiscent of,
Washing over me; violently crashing over my soul,
Burning me, taking away all feeling, making a hole,
That hole stayed open, leaving emptiness and pain,
A memory of what was lost is all that remains,
That tide went out and never came back in,
Whenever I look for it, it feels wrong deep within,
Where is the one that can bring back that tide?
And fill up that hole that’s of nothingness inside
Will the sea that he brings soothe and not burn?
Will those memories of the past never return?
I am haunted by the captain of that ocean I once sailed,
The memory of his sword of anguish; my heart impaled,
I cannot feel anything for these First Mates I find,
Only another Captain can ignite those feelings inside,
I’ll wait for him to dock on those cold lonely shores,
Where I left my old ship of broken wood and oars.
