I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
We were always friends.
You had issues.
I delt with them.
Until one day.
Blood stains on your shirt.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
We hung out.
We were tight.
It took a lot.
For us to fight.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
It was a good party.
Drinking and drugs.
Until she came.
I know you hated her.
I tried to help.
I couldn't help.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
She was up in your face.
Angry, Lost.
You argued.
She fought.
She threatened you.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
I tried to stop it.
I tried to help.
I pushed her.
She slapped me.
She drew her gun.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
I told her to put it away.
I yelled.
I screamed.
She pulled the trigger.
You jumped in front of me.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
My accident.
Now, You cry.
I call 911.
I caused your death.
I'm sorry.
So sorry.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
My accident.
Now we stand at your funeral.
Crying.
I miss you so badly.
You took that bullet for me.
I should have been the one.
In the coffin.
Not You.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean it.
It was an accident.
MY accident.
I'm Sorry.
I killed you.
I'm so sorry.
I will never forgive myself.
For killing you.

Oh man please tell me this didn't really happen. This was good. If I was in this situation I would react the same as you have written about in this poem. Such a stir of a few different emotions. Good write.

Was this poem true?If so,I'm so sorry you went through this !I really don't know what to say...I can tell you though that if this event is true,God is holding your friends' hand and I'm sure she was greeted by many angels, such as my friend who died as well.Just remember this is NOT your fault, the life of one depends on their hour, which NO ONE can control, you didn't kill her,you didn't cause her death, her time was up,God needed another angel up there, she would have died some other way if it hadn't been that way.As I said, her time was up....I've learned to accept this when my friend died in a car accident(I was with her),her car spun out of control and she died. Why her and not me?It just wasn't my time, and as much as I've blamed myself(could've done this, should've done that, should have told her not to drive it was too late)I now realize that her death was caused by nature's natural developpement of life. You are through the denial period, and it will get easier, trust me,just let yourself grieve and cry it eases the pain and remember that she/he wuold probably want you to live yuor life HAPPILY and she/he knows it wasn't your fault.Their is no place greater than heaven,no place happier and no place better to be.I bet she wouldn't even come back on earth knowing what heaven looks like.ANyways if you ever want to chat about it,just send me a message, but I promise, things will get better and please stop blaming yourself,it won't bring your friend back and well...it just wasn't your fault.Love always and may God bless you and your friend,
PumpkinPie

Like said before, I hope this was fiction.
Your poem captures the love of a true friendship. We only notice this enormous love though when its too late, thats the sad part!!

But remember that love never ends, even though we can't see the heart that its coming from it will always be deep with in ours!!

This was incredibly powerful. I absolutely loved it. I am sorry for your loss but that shows you what kind of person and friend she was. You should not grieve but attempt to become like that even if you must sacrifice yourself later on.
Sorry. I liked it alot.
