Why doesn't he ever call?
When will I see him?
Does he miss me at all?
What is he like?
Does he really care?
Does he have my picture?
How come he isn't here?
Is he bad or good?
What did he do?
Why did we leave, just me and you?
Did he ever hold me?
What did I do?
Does he hate you, mommy?
Does he hate me too?
What color are his eyes?
Do you remember him?
How long has it been?
Should I try to call him now?
Or should I just forget him too?

sadness evident in this write, through the question you are expecting to hear sometime. Everyone wonders, everyone has got the right to ask, to know. Prepare yourself for it now, for when the time comes. Good look into that kind of life you have portrayed.

The thoughts are real and painful, the emotion washes through fairly powerfully, but the power of the poem is weakened by the conventional rhymes. The complex, painful thoughts seem tied together with one-sylable, predictably rhymed words (do, you; call, all...).

This is a work where rhyming actually dimminished the strength of the poem--This one would have been much better with no rhymes at all.

Just love your mother. There is a reason he is not there, it is him, not you. He'll come around when he is ready. My dad left too. I know it was for the better, though. Hope all is well with you, take care, good poem.

there are often times in our lives when some questions may never be answered,
other times when you wont even want to know the answer.
I hope you find your answers either way..

Great feelings and emotions shown in this poem. I guess we all have questions left by our parents, too bad some of them will never be answered.

This is a great poem, Country Gir. The tragedy of divorse is that often the kids blame themselves.

This brought a tear to my eye because these are the questions my son will someday ask me, and I'm not sure if I can give him the solance that he would then seek.
