I wonder what I’ve got?
I can not for the life of me
Understand what my luck wrought!

I wonder why she ever,
Would want to look my way?
And then right after doing that
Would ever want to stay?

I wonder why the stars so bright
Could look on me and smile?
And know just what I needed,
From over a million miles?

I wonder why she chose me?
I wonder what she’s missed?
I wonder why she didn’t choose
Some other guy on her list?

I wonder why I wonder?
Which I have done for a while!
But even though I wonder,
I still wear a great big Smile !

Hi Robert I read your poems to this one before I figured out how to send a comment.I hope you don't give up writing but if you don't feel well I could understand.I'm taking a college course in poetry. If you don't mind I would suggest a couple of things. If you can try writing a poem in iambic pentameter. That means keep your words stressed then unstressed in each syllible.and pentameter is 10 syllibles in each line. The iams means in each syllible it is unstressed then the next syllible is stressed and so on.Dimeter means four syllibles per line.trimeter means six syllibles per line.tetrameter means 8 syllibles in each line.pentameter means 10 syllibles per line.Hexameter has 12 syllibles per line, and so on.take care and God Bless.Wesley Willis
