The birds chirp above me
And the butterflies they twirl
In their endless dance
The green trees sway in the breeze
And as the waters rush by
I sit there water flowing down my cheeks
I wish for peace and wholeness,
But instead I am mesmerized
By the red, meandering line
That flows from my wrist

The sadness is to deep to bear
And I wish I could be anything, but me
As this hollowness a living thing
Awakens its dark self within
As this timeless mantra repeats itself
Only stronger and more persistent
Kill yerself, kill yerself
And like a zombie I stagger to the waters
And drown myself and like my surroundings
I finally find peace

Very well said.
It's really sad but the scenery is awesome.
It reminds me when I go down the hill in my back yard and sit by my natural springs. It's there where I leave my woes in the stream of nature. It's always healing to my soul. I luv nature.
Very good write and I hope u find the peace in life that u seek.
luv, huggs,
emy

very strong images, deeply disturbing really.

Don't do it, we all have our dark and terrible times, but there are those moments tucked into life that are so incredibly beautiful that it makes all the other crap seem unimportant. So stick around for the good stuff.

*****. i suck at commenting which is why i don't do it often, so i'll just say that i loved this. sounded like something that would've been said with a hollow sigh, yet even in the sigh, you can sense the intensity of the emotions beneath.

I enjoyed the ending how you found piece in your watery grave. Yet I hope you dont plan on commiting suicide anytime soon, just write of it. Usually letting out your emotions in poetry tames down your actions. I know it has for me in the past, i hope it does for you. I love this poem because it shares a piece of your mind and how you feel inside

kisses,
~Soulless~
