Gracefully like a proud swan,
Into the mist…
I followed but only shook hands…
With my own shadow,

This vacuum and stillness,
And tales from the ghosts in my past,
As I walked down the gravel path,
Laden with a carpet of snow,
The trees watch silently,
The wing sang sibilantly,
The song of winter in my ears,
I swear I felt his lively breath!
Upon this naked neck of mine,
And when I turned around…
He rode away slowly,
Like a magic unicorn,
That never was,
I followed but shook hands with my own shadow,

I miss togetherness,
I miss you my soul mate,
I cannot live alone in this house of dreams,
Leaving me behind, they walked on,
The pallbearers disappeared,
And he didn’t even wave good-bye,
Juts slept like a little baby,
In that wooden coffin,
And merged into the secrets of the earth…

And as the angel of the night,
Painted the mazerine sky with little stars,
I wept alone in my house of dreams,
I swear I felt him collect my tears!
Into the palm of his beautiful hand,
As if then with a magic wand,
He lit my heart with an eternal candle,
‘I love you’, he said for the very last time,
And then rode on into the mist…
Leaving lilac flowers on my mantelpiece,
And I recall now that it was ‘snow buds’, he called them.
