I am male.. and I know some of you may find offense in me writing this but.. I'm expressing that I can only imagine the pain to those victimized. If it offends you, please let me know.. any feedback is good feedback. [bodytext] => Hush little baby, don't say a word
Daddy's said to me before he made me hurt
Physical but mostly mental; he broke my heart
I still don't understand what I did to make him start
He was my Daddy and I loved him so dear
Then one day he became the man that I fear
The lock on the door; the old brown sheets
The promises unkept; his grip unforgiving and me so weak
Every bruise so dark but I managed to hide them well
And even though I knew I should; I never did tell
Because I loved him as my Father and I didn't want to see him in pain
I just wish to this very day that he would have felt the same
But he was intent on ruining me; leaving all these scars
And die of old age never ceasing my mental wars
So I sit writing this; my note of final word
And I look over my escapes, with vision so blurred
Will it be the knife, gun or noose? Oh wait, my eyes are growing heavy
My last sight is the bottles that are so empty
And my dying thought is that of him in his grave
Before I leave this world... no longer Daddy's slave [comments] => 10 [counter] => 732 [topic] => 36 [informant] => lostinlimbo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 24 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

This is a very true part of reality. You have a talent that I hold as well...being able to write about such a dark part of society withough having to experience it. This is unbelievable!! I don't know what else to say other than words can't say/describe/explain the greatness of this work.

The fact that you are male simply makes this work more meaningful.. in my eyes anyway... This is truly a work of art.. and it really hits home with me.

Your work is touching. You are a very special person who was blessed with a wonderful insight. I know how it feels to be daddy's slave and I believe you have captured those feelings quite well. You are a blessing.
