I've been really busy and haven't gotten much time on here. This is my latest poem I've been workin on for the last few weeks. I hope you enjoy!* [bodytext] => I'm being cradled in the lap of sorrow
Not knowing if I'll witness tomorrow
I search desperately for elusive peace
As I slit my wrists against a sharp rock
And I make a deep, sorrowful crease
I ignore the stares of those that mock
As I crawl striving to forget this misery

I find a razor in my gleeful, shaking hands
And my blood begins to pour onto the white sands
Its even deeper this time as I suck my wrists
Wincing at the pain which cuts me deeper
I close my eyes as blood drips from my clenched fists
Knowing I did wrong I find myself getting weaker
Eyes clenched tight trying to block out the memories

Chorus:
I tell myself I'll be ok,
But sometimes lies hurt more than the truth,
But sometimes the truth hurts more than a lie

This failed attempt leaves me nearly dead
As my severed wrists cry forth red
Spilling so freely as my bandages soak through
My face contorted with unbearable anguish
As the tears pour forth, and my hands tremble aknew
Because with this sadness I am forced to languish
With each and every pointless, searing breath

I'm teetering on the brink of despair
Knowing I'm well beyond repair
I'm sitting in this corner, head back, swiftly bleeding
As I cuddle with depression
Hope flees leaving barely a memory fleeting
The blood is pooling at my feet, a confession
Of what I never was and what I never will be

I tell myself I'll be ok
Even as I slowly fade away [comments] => 8 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 36 [informant] => bobotheclown [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

I totally forgot to tell you how incredible this was. I again am honored that I am one of the few who got to read this first. Joel this was totally awesome. The chorus was wicked too. I like the ending too. This was just deeply awesome and I am awed. I think this one settles which of us is better.

certainly felt the power and emotion in this one, it would be hard not to. so much to say about this poem, but no words can express the excellence of this.
