Pause, rewind, and watch the coward.
Watch the Past laid out once more
Watch that girl who's afraid of Future's door.

Touching Future's handle and- halt -
She's not opening it and it's her fault.
Watch her consider the light over there
Before she turns away without a care.

Looked at the Past and realized
That's where she lived and thrived.
Watched the fool think in the Past she had all
Obviously not, you watched her fall.

Turned in the other direction and ran away
Fallen down and in the Past she lay.
Watch the nightmares she has to see
Ache for the paper tiger who is me. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Eve [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

It looks like a great poem, it rhymes like a great poem, has the theme and flow of a great poem...Yep, it's great.

So much depth to this poem, it boggles the mind (yes, I wrote 'boggles'). Incredible job, Eve. The throne of poetry godhood is abdicated, and the seat is reserved for you.

Keep writing, or be forced to listen to an Eminem cd,
-V.S.

Well, I'm not about to bandy about such unnecessary laudations, but I will say that your poem caught my attention, first hand by being of the same title as a Beck song I like. Besides this, I found this, again, 'resonative', as I have thought like this in the past - hesitant, etc.
Neatly rhymed and honestly expressed, without pretense.
'A really good poem I like is . . .'

You don't have to be trapped by fear and indecision.

From "Scapes"
"But they are walls of paper
To the ones who are out side
In pastures green and shining sun"

A tiger can break through a paper wall any day, just do it.
