[bodytext] => Goodbye, The Hardest Word Goodbye, the hardest word , In the english language to say. Unanticipated tears are hard to deal with, When they come your way. It’s been over ten years for me, And the cut is still so fresh. Moving beyond the grief, I never passed that test. I remember that morning, It still lingers in my mind. A call came in at work, Telling me there was little time. I rushed to the hospital, Only to be too late. An over worked body, Had left him to this fate. Shock soon turned to tears, My father had passed away.. Lifeless was his body, We didn’t have a say. Devastation set in, Grief beyond repair. Family holding each other for support. Eyes full to tears. Laying in a bed, The most important man in my life. Left behind was his family, His dreams and his wife. Like I said, it’s been a while, But if feels like yesterday. And my heart is still as broken, As it was on that day. I didn’t write this for sympathy, So don’t shed a tear. Just love those who are important to you, While you still have them there. To me, goodbye is the hardest word, In the english language to say. But I wish I had the chance to, It still haunts me to this day.
