I'm watching the tennis, finally it's stopped raining! [bodytext] => This was always said by my Mum’s Mum
It has played on this mind since being very young

Not meaning disrespect to my grandmother’s word
But when thought about, it’s really quite absurd

You see, in years gone by the consensus has been
That “blue and green are never to be seen”

I know this refers to the clothes we wear
But when you look outside which colours are there

Prominently being shades of these two intertwined
A more pleasing combination is a struggle to find

This planet if it’s viewed from outer space
It’s mostly these two colours that make up this place

There are clouds and deserts for a bit of a dash
But the blue and the green they really don’t clash

With background and poles the setting’s so beautiful
But black and white are not colours they’re neutral! I wear blue and green together all the time. I have a green shirt with green writing on right now! lol Remeber when the navy blue and dark green plaids were in style in the mid 90's! lol

Now don't get me wrong, but there over where you are at, England... The folks have a different color scheme of things, then here in the STates, until it either cacthes up with either country for the trend setting thing!!! I wear what Amber wants to wear, not whats in style. This is what I call a classic. if like something I like it and want it, but well, with the clothes going so fast in trend settings, I cannot seem to find my style!!! Colors were a big thing in our grandparents time, some still go with the color scheme of wearing only white in the spring and or summer, it would be horrible to wear that in the Winter!!! Nah, not anymore.... colors are for whatever one feels like now,a nd I like that. for I never did wear what everyone else did. I wore and still do what I like and feel like!!! God forbid those times when kids killed other kids for air nike sneakers here in the states back in the 80's, crazy things of our fashion era's!!! oh by the way, good write DEan.......... :)
Always Amber Rose :)

Hi there Anymouse, I'm pleased you're wearing green with green, and I'm sure it looks great! I don't really follow styles not being a sheep, but this poem was only meant to be a comment about how strange some older sayings appear in todays ways of thinking!
Thankyou for your words
With love
Dean

Hey Amber Rose, It is clearly obvious to me that you are one of those people who just have style!
It doesn't matter what you wear, with the things I read that you write I try to imagine you with a backpack and hiking boots and people with a backpack are normally caring, youthful, naturally thoughtful people in my experience. This is style!
Forgive me if my imagination is wrong, but I think not! But do let me know if I am!
Thankyou for writing
With love
Dean ;-)
