she fights to have everything her way
it is hard to pick up pieces of her frustrations
it is harder still to see the confusion
everyday more and more independence is lost

she refuses to quit in her ways she is afraid
she continues to fight even knowing she is losing
she wont tell you her fears the way she argues does
it is her spirit i posess its called survival
everyday more and more independence is lost

she has almost run out of fight but she wont admit it
her battle is almost over yet she just wont quit
somehow i keep egging her on dont quit now i need you
for in my mind that is me fightingt as well side by side
everyday more and more independence is lost

mother the tigress will never quit she outlived my father
she passed her spirit on to me i see it in her and me
i am my mothers daughter and my fathers daughter
she will not acknowledge this but she is here
everyday more and more independence is lost [comments] => 2 [counter] => 203 [topic] => 39 [informant] => maryetta [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Wow! This is sad but it shows remarkable strength, luv, compassion, understanding on your part.
Keep the faith sweetie as God will get u both thru it. I know how hard it was on me when my Mom died then when dad passed it was even more hard for me as he-n-I got close after Mom passed. He was my tower of strength.
I jus had a dream about him, I saw him and he wasn't sick any more and he told me, "I will never leave U." I know he and Mom both watch over me.
Thank u for sharing your pain with us. Many folks will be helped with all these writings.
God bless u, my friend, my heart is with u.
peace, joy, luv, strength, huggs,
emy
