Array ( [sid] => 32042 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Silent Screams [time] => 2004-01-18 18:56:18 [hometext] => This poem is about abortion from the victim's point of view [bodytext] => Threads of heaven interwine within the womb
God's hand weaving his delicate creation
One thread, holds purity, untouched by evil
Another, holds innocence, alienated from malice
The other holds love, joy, and warmth
God's work is nigh

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I see a white spectre coming towards me
All of my soul bids me to flee from it
I hear a beautiful voice outside of this embrasure
"It's OK".
It said
"You can always have another"
And right before my eyes that cannot yet see
I am stripped of all worth and beauty
Whence it has captured me within his tight grasp
My muscles repel him with all of my might
Tryinging to tell him to let me go free
Yet it is too late
For no one can hear me
No one is listening
To my silent screams
I was worthy of love and joy up in heaven
But here in this cruel place
I am worth nothing [comments] => 2 [counter] => 201 [topic] => 21 [informant] => SkYYBLu [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

My Dr. told me that an embryo feels pain. The nerves are formed at five weeks..so when the vacuuming or the acid bath, whichever method is used to abort...and now they're thinking of be-heading..The child, (and make no mistake, it is a life) feels pain. I applaud your poem.
