Around this staff emotions float
Lying in the corner, a cob-webbed guitar
That's somehow perfectly in tune
Strumming a chord, playing the first bar
Remembering this hidden rune
Eyes draw closed, lost in the melody
How much pain could this song mend
Playing this music may set him free
To give closure, to give an end
I feel the thoughts he held within
Visions of love and all things good
Even in sadness he could not win
I cried for him when no one would
So much love woven in every measure
A soul pierced by solitude's lance
A heart of gold, now buried treasure
In death harmony, in life discordance
The final movement played so slow
A bitter farewell to who I was before
Fitting end, a fading arpeggio
Last note to close that chapter forevermore

| What an excellent choice of words to describe emotions. "folded and forgotten between the pages of a book unread." The rhyme scheme is also impressive. The poem is written in a sonata it has classical movement and the words of music. Well done looking forward to seeing more. |

those words are so perfect,
this write portrays your talent in its most perfect form
Everything about this, the flow, the rhyme scheme, the choice of words everything
you have really progressed and thrown yourself into an amazing state of pure poetry of late and this, this is just the tip of the iceberg

You made me cry, I tried not to. Where are the words when I need them?

Those four lines got to me, I certainly could relate. So many thoughts going thru my mind and I think I will not share them and just say that connection is a mysterious thing.

Hmn. I now see why this one was pointed out to me. I'm working backwards from 'My Angel', and I definately prefer this one, even though they're both equally as bright stars in the YPDC sky.
You know I like stargazing? - I could sit staring at this one all night long . . . and yet . . . I still must read on. |

I lived in memories for so long. They were my only solace in times of total chaos. This is beautiful. I think you will let go. I think you will move on, but I know it can take a very long time to heal.
