January 16, 2004

Dear Lord,
Please bless my great grandma,
Hold her in your palms and take care of her for me.
Please keep her happy, healthy, strong, safe, and smart,
And please bless my grandma too,
Give her the will and the want to not drink,
And be as strong as you.
Look after Deanna and Steve,
And Quentin and Gavin.
I take a deep sigh and continue,
My fingers wrapped tightly around my cross.
Please bless Sabrina and Eric,
And Dominic and Bella too.
Please, Lord, look after my family as I do.
Bless Jenny, my sister, I love you.
And Jeff, please bless him too.
Dear Lord, I say as my fingers go numb,
The feeling inside, my pulse, through my chain.
Please bless my grandpa, and my unknown grandma.
My friends, dear Lord, look after them.
Please bless Katherine and Emily,
And Bonnie and her family.
Please bless Pam and her Andrew,
And Elianna and her Kai.
I hope she's doing alright, and he's getting better.
Please bless those I no longer love,
But they need it too.
So bless mom and Dad and Jane.
Please help those who need it,
And the woman I saw in hospital in pain.
Please help me find what I have lost,
I love you, Thank you,
Thank you, thank you so much.
And God bless you.
Amen.
Releasing my gripped, as my eyelids slip,
One last deep breath and I fall into dreams.
