And though no one should necessarily dwell on it, they should still take the time to consider what's here now. [bodytext] => Lately I've been wondering

Why the world always stays in one place
And at the same time always spins around.

How the sky seems so close yet fades into space
And how the world seems flat but is really round.

Why things don't just fall off of earth
And airplanes defy everthing true.

How the sky can always swallow you with its girth
And the oceans are in so many hues of blue.

Why you can't walk off of the land
And staight into the stars we see at night.

How you could possibly count every grain of sand
And why the sun's the central source of light.

Why everything goes around the sun
And the moon is considered a rock.

How some of this we manage to somehow shun
And we pay so much attention to the clock.

Why people run around when there's so much going on
And they don't take the time to listen to the wind.

How you could even ignore the dawn
And forget that someday there will be an end. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 27 [informant] => Eve [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

Gah....i'm not sure if I should stand and applaud, cry, or sit silently in awe. This is, above all else, timeless. This is your best yet (well, except for my obsession with "Memory of Forever"). Eve, you once again remind me of why I love poetry.

Keep writing, or spontaneously combust,
-V.S.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
