Array ( [sid] => 31801 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Burning [time] => 2004-01-15 23:22:15 [hometext] => This is about a man whos housed is onfire and hes remember his past love as he trys to escape [bodytext] => The blade is dull i can smell the smoke already.
As it becomes hard i hold my head steady.
As i chip at this wall I begin to remember you.
I remember the good times and the sad too.
My life flashes before my eyes.
As i start to remember all those lies.
The sweat drips down my face.
As i chip it feels like a race.
Do you remember that hot day?
when we got ice cream and i had to pay?
The sun was hot and we started to sweat.
We went swiming and we got your dad wet.
That was when we were 7.
It realy did feel like heaven.
Remember when we were 14?
We slipped into that pool without being seen.
You told me you loved me.
But i couldn't see.
That you were lieing.
I didn't know i would end up crying.
Do you remember Jacob Gibrim?
You left me alone for him.
I remember the sadness.
The way i was told i looked like a mess.
Now im here alone in this room.
Realizing my doom.
It became hot and i became dizzy.
My legs were flimsy.
The blade dropped from my hand and hit the floor.
I saw a dark figure come threw the door.
Then i was gone into the darkness.
The world became fuzzy less and less.
I saw you there in the seat looking at me.
Looking at what i had come to be.
I didn't love you anymore.
My heart was heavy and sore.
Eventualy you were gone.
My situation was done.
I would see your marriage with Jacob Gibrim.
With out remorse or hate against him. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 22 [informant] => venting_anger [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
