dripping roses, on the path to heaven,
and show what I see thru my eyes,
to take away the fears,
I would my friend, If I could,

If I could turn that clock of time,
and die for those in whom you loved,
and fill all your days with joy and peace,
and borrow time for the deceased,
I would my friend, If I could,

If I could bring back to you,
the smile of youth,
those young and youthful years,
and give you back the time you lost,
and take out all your fears,
I would my friend, If I could,

If I could be there by your side,
and gently hold you in my arms,
at least you'd know that for a day,
I'd keep you out of harm,
I would my friend, If I could,

If I could bring to you a day,
to smile once again,
and show you what this world is,
with warmth, love, peace, and grace,
I would my friend, If I could,
for you!
