I think Im retire to my bed
lay my head upon the pillow
think of you instead.

Know that Im a phonecall
anytime of day or night
our distance isnt that far away
as Im ready to sleep this night.

Know that I think of you
each night before I sleep
I look at your picture placed on the
nightstand and your always mine to keep.

Your ever so bright and kind
I love your child like ways
even though we are grown
you remind me always take time to play.

Its your smile I think of
and hold it near my heart
though a few hours seperate us now
were never are far apart.

When someone hurts your feeling
or your feeling blue
think back to the beautiful roses
the grandest one ever grew.

Take in the sweet fragrance
as sweet as your loving heart
and spill the petals about you
nomatter where we are.

Ill call you again tomorrow night
sleep tight sleeping beauty!!!

I really liked this.My daughter is called Shelby and although she's only 9 I could probably show her this poem when she's grown up and left home.Youhave inspired me to write something similar but don't worry I won't steal your ideas.
