for way too long
but i'm learning
learning to let go
learning to give up

it all seemed worth it
at the time
i forgot everything
when i saw her there
but now i remember again
and i'm learning
learning to let go
learning to give up

i must confess
i faked the rest
the best i gave was really
just what i could get away with
too busy learning
learning to fall

it isn't easy
that much i know
it hurts to stay
but it's hell to go

(it all seemed worth it
when i saw her there
forgot everything
when i saw her there
felt like things were changing
when i saw her there
dropped my guard to hope
when i saw her there)

just like everything
she was just a broken piece
i tried to fit her in
but her edges were too jagged

bled when i held her
you know, death tastes alot like a kiss
but none of that matters now

so blind for so long
held on for so long
a fool for so long
and now i say "so long"
because i'm learning
and i'm learning fast

learning to give up
(it's so easy now)
learning to let go
(this means nothing to me)
learning to say "goodbye"
(no wave, just a smile)
i'm learning to fall
and it tastes like your kiss [comments] => 5 [counter] => 191 [topic] => 36 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

I could smell the pain in this. Sometimes we need to let go in order to save ourselves. I like how u said u were 'learning to fall' that was great-o.

Peace,
Joel (Bobo)
