Never to be known - her stream would never flow,
No legacy left behind - cause she didn't grow,
An early death - All forgotten and nothing to show.
Shes here - Shes now - Shes all go.

Suicide, for attention - for nothing.
She made the wrong decision.

Never could take it - but could take the pill,
She struggles to make it - but shes had her fill,
Her parents wont believe -they dont think its real,
Keeping pain silent - she thinks she wont feel,
She'll swallow. She'll slice. She'll suffice.

Suicide, for attention - for nothing.
She made the wrong decision.

All alone - she thinks noone sees,
How much it hurts - neglected mental fees,
The universe so large - how pointless she seems,
she'll slit her wrists - forcing her own peace,
Shes there. Shes scared. Shes beyond repair.

Suicide, for attention - for nothing.
She made the wrong decision.

She can't do it - Cause she does beleive,
She wont do it - when she finds relief,
She hasn't done it - cause she can achieve,
Her sanity totters - Murmured heart on a sleave,
She can't. She wont'. She hasn't.

Suicide, for attention - for nothing.
Shes making the RIGHT decision. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 228 [topic] => 36 [informant] => spiffyphil [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

I wrote this poem with the intention of turning it into a song. It was a peice of therapy for a girl who constantly contemplated suicide. It is sad to say that I had found out she commited suicide just recently. I never met her.

Very rarely do i read a poem that seriously touches me to the point of causing tears. I am like that girl, and have met a poet on here that watches over me. Without him, i think i would of attempted suicide a second time already. Im sure she appreciated your support but sometimes its not always enough.

I'm the girl you wrote this poem to, seriously! I AM HERE! I AM ALIVE! It's been nearly 4 months since I've looked at this poem and I found it today and I cried. I'm sorry I made you think I was dead, but here I am, I'm alive and real. And you still have a chance to meet me, I'm not giving up! I intend on living this hell to the fullest. My friends have picked me up, turned my face toward the sky and dragged from darkness into light!

This is a truely amazing piece. I can totally relate. Thank you for telling me to check it out. I agree with Sara, depending on the situation. I wonder what death brings? Is it better than what a twisted life has to offer? I'm very sorry to hear that the girl actually did end up killing herself. Best of luck.
Katie
