Looking forth to what this beholds
A flickering flame of broken lust
A silent scream of once gained trust

A lonely heart, times true friend
This be a letter, i have to send
Remember your word, god please dont break
i feel my faith, shatter and shake

I walked along the lines of love
We spread our wings like turtle doves
I lost my balance and fell away
These broken dreams of yesterday

So now i stand here in the cold
Knowing what love doth behold
My flickering flame of once true lust
Had just blown away, and turned to dust...

Thankyou my lust

An exquisite piece of poetry. Reminiscent of the old masters. It brings images of autumn, marmalade and pinecones. Keep up the good work.

"My flickering flame of once true lust
Had just blown away, and turned to dust..."

Lines like these are why I love poetry. Simply masterful.

Truly,
