On your arm.
Growing fast.
You seemed alarmed.

From your arm,
I went to play.
In the sandbox.
Every day.

From the sandbox.
In the lawn.
Out to school.
My playing gone.

Only to come home again.
To stay for now.
I'd be in your arms.
As you smile so proud.

From then I grew.
At speeds surprising.
And with me stature,
came distance arising.

No longer did I
Run on home.
Our distance grew.
I stayed alone.

No longer were you
my only friend.
I had found others
on whom I could depend.

Even then,
Still we would talk.
What mattered or not.
Or how I looked or I walked.

The one day,
came the change.
Began a brand new chapter.
A whole new page.

I desired nothing.
Save to be alone.
As I listened
to your endless drone.

Thus it went
Day by day.
You were quick to critisize
My new found ways.

But that just made
the already bad into worst.
My anger welled up
Till I thought I would burst.

All pent up,
the anger inside.
Gave me restless days;
Sleepless nights.

So I turned
To others to help me.
The means, though ill,
did seem to favor me.

That way,
it stayed.
It kept me sane.
My pain was delayed.

Then one day,
I awoke to find
I had no pain
Left to hide.

From that day,
My new life began.
A new horizon,
I now scanned.

I made new friends.
Bought new clothes.
A whole new path,
I now chose.

My restless days;
Now sweet as a song.
The sleepless nights;
Now blissfully long.

I loved the way you worded and set this poem up, really did. It was like viewing you from an infant and on. Thank you so much for sharing it.
