I felt very warm and I started to pale,
The numbers thereon told a terrible tale,
I looked for a fork on which I could impale.

What a fool 'cause I ate everything on the plate,
I was looking for more; it would take me to sate,
I started to shake for the total I read,
Made me hope for some other number instead.

To say it was high, I will tell you no lie,
Ice cream and cake, and blueberry pie,
Was the fare that I ate, It's no wonder my weight,
Reached a plateau that I thoroughly hate.

We will start the new year, without bottled beer,
And anything else that will not make me cheer,
I know not of you not the size of your waist,
Nor your ability to cut, copy or paste.

We know you are you and we know I am I,
Enough is enough and I say with a sigh,
Get out of the chair and go with a bound,
So that next year, you'll be trim, not too round.. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 147 [topic] => 7 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

I liked this poem. It states something most people are afraid to say.
