[hometext] => This was written after a friend of mine told me that he didn't understand why we fight wars...he was also a dedicated anarchist....
[bodytext] => They endured hell
So we could have our rights They fought the wars They won the fights. They watched their friends perish In horrible ways Killed in their sleep Killed while they prayed. They marched through the jungle Rivers they crossed Never knowing when Lives might be lost Yet we don't have the pride To thank them for what they've done We turn our backs on them Intent on having our fun. We say it's our right We say that we're free I have only one question Without their sacrifice, would we be? -Andrew Albertson [comments] => 2 [counter] => 328 [topic] => 28 [informant] => chicken [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Patriotic )
