A lonely person, an empty hand,
As she walks amongst the waves,
Looks back on the love she gave

Cool waters lap but she wont care,
What’s the point if he’s not there,
All the sandcastles that were built,
Washed away dreams turn to silt.

More chance to turn the tide,
Than to stop the tears she cried,
The sun scorches her hung head,
As she returns to an empty bed.

Waves crash, and a broken heart,
The wrenching feeling, being apart,
Through her fingers slips the sand,
Gone the grains just like her man.

Her hair tasseled by the sea breeze,
In her mind only his face she sees,
Will love ever again be the tune,
A lover to walk with across the dunes.

WOW...very nice. Just remember...if her love left then he was not her love. It took me awhile to realize that after my ex left me. Now I have found someone new. Who knows...maybe this one will last. VERY GOOD poem. VERY NICE. Thank you very much for sharing it.

So many thoughts on your poem. It brought tears to my eyes and touched the deepest recesses of my heart.
I went on vacation once alone and your poem is close to being a looking glass. It hit home for me.

"All the sandcastles that were built,
Washed away dreams turn to silt."

This is my favorite piece by you, thank you for sharing it.

Kie
