Words spoken softer than the grass under our feet
That awful loving wind that whispers around me
I can wait for happy to come, for today and tomorrow to meet

My wings have been clipped
And the circles that my heart loves to fly in
Loving the sky as it's genuine
Missing the thoughts so wonderfully forgotten

The blades of grass that tickle our skin
The earth as it crumbles under our toes
Paint myself with happiness
Spill the smiles, watch the way the color flows

Twisted up in anger
And I really could sympathize with regret
These words that you assume you know
The one excuse you could never forget

The smiles of rain and endless summer
As we watch from the roof autumn turns to winter
The leaves will blow forever
The trees bend into the sunset, watch them splinter

The fumes of sadness
Kill myself just to breathe them in
I'd smile myself into tomorrow
And I'm happy from the beginning and straight to the end

Waiting is for nothing
And some day that will hold me so wonderfully true
Liberated from the cells of despair and darkness
And the arms you've given me so wonderfully new [comments] => 3 [counter] => 147 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Exodus-On-Life [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
