TRIUNE GOD

Contributed by Elizabeth_Dandy on Wednesday, 31st December 2003 @ 04:32:59 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Don’t call the Lord a Prophet!--
The Savior of the World
Is far above all prophets
That Providence unfurled.!

Behold! on Calvary’s hill there stood
The Father suffering,- but mute,
Love’s Spirit too dwelt by the tree
And suffering was the Trinity.

The cosmos shook,- the skies star-strewn
Bowed low with every galaxy,
Paid homage to the God Triune
Who is from all eternity.

Today I have begotten Thee!
Today, my son, this day! Today!-
The second of the Trinity
Is our Life, our Light, our Way..

Eternal Word, Eternal Son,
Through whom was made - lo!- all that is,
The Father’s Son, the Spirit’s bliss -
Who for us all salvation won

The Alpha and Omega,- He
Can never a mere Prophet be,
But our end and destiny;
Praised be the Holy Trinity!

I should have read this first before commenting on your Mullah poem.
Can I just say that I believe in the entity of which you speak but have no time for the so called prophets that have set one cult against another

Very impressive write
