Depression is so very much a part of me
That life wouldn’t be life without it
Often times my future I just can’t see
Another piece to my puzzle that doesn’t fit

Some days I just want to lie in bed
If I stay there I won’t have to face the world
All these suicidal thoughts run through my head
And I think to myself what a foolish girl

If I killed myself what would it fix?
I would only cause more pain
Throw someone else into this mix
That I find myself in time and again

That’s not exactly fair to them or me
So I try to be strong and pull myself thru
So many times I wished I could be free
I don’t know anymore what to do

My cries couldn’t be any louder if I tried
Does anyone here them at all?
Thousands of tears I have cried
I’m scared this time I will fall

I’ve only stumbled in the past
Always found something to hold on to
This time it doesn’t look like it will last
I feel like this is life and my time here is through

Lasca,
Wow...very powerful poem. I sure hope it's fiction...just a mild bout of depression you've exaggerated for effect. If not, write me...PLEASE! We've all got sorrows, and maybe if we share our stories, you'll see you're not alone.
