I led myself to a place,
Where I thought I could grow

I took care of myself.
After all these years
Yet if you cried,
I wiped away all your tears
You said I could answer all my questions myself
But you didn’t see,
For once in my life,
I need someone besides me

I always seem to solve your problems
By the end of the night
Yet when I try to solve my own,
Nothing ever seems right
I can fix your world
But I can’t fix my own
I don’t want to lie
Where the abandoned are thrown

I took care of myself
After all these years
Yet every time you cowered,
I calmed your fears
You said you were there for me,
But you just don’t see
I don’t need you,
I need someone like me

I give you all I have inside
Yet when I fall, you run and hide
Can’t someone be true,
And please help me out?
I know your answers,
But what’s my life all about?

There’s a place I must go,
But where it is,
I don’t believe I’ll ever know [comments] => 2 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Schnikes13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

What a beautiful, truthful write! I just loved it.
Have read it over and over again! But guess what? You have already found thesecret to your feeling great....always give, and give, and give, and help, help, help...for what you do to another....you also are doing to you!
There are more "takers" in this world than "givers" that's for sure...but as long as you are always giving...you won't know who they are! And then one fine day...you'll find someone that will give you back just what you give them! Grab her...don't let her get away...that's True Love to The End.
Wonderful poetry you write...so interesting and also so right!
