The story never goes on
Just relentless chapters going by
Pages never seem to change
Until I no longer care to try

Things once loved
Grow tedious and old
What could love
Grew hateful and cold
The tome I write will never be complete
Alteration thirst will never deplete

My contentment dissipates
Strangely enraptured by unknown fear
Emotions, they all congregate
When you know rapid change is near

Things once loved
Grow tedious and old
What could love
Grew hateful and cold
The story I tell will never have an end
The endless path I forever will descend

People I once cared about
Now I'd throw them to the wind
Things I once enjoyed to do
Are what I now rescind

The pages continue to turn
Relentless chapters, no end to see
My contentment dissipates
As I fall into apostasy

I can certainly relate to this one VS
The word apostasy means you had the truth at one time...become discouarged and give up on the rhyme....that happened to me after 40 years...just think of that....40 years....and they took it all and threw it in the vat! But don't get discouraged....just start all over....don't let the lack of love crush you and your endeavor!
Walk the same path, and do the same things right...inspite of all the others.
Great Poem...wonderful write!
And so true too!

Yet another resonant theme with me, one which I included in one of my previous efforts, and also one which I will persist with in the future.

Apostasy . . . so that's what it's called.
