But you chose to walk the other way
When I was lost, your hand I held
But I chose to look the other way

I learned to hide inside my mind
To hide from the way you make me feel
But I can't blame you for what's mine
All the things my anger does reveal

So I sit here in my quiet corner
Far from you and the things you do
Masking the scars of my reality
They're from you and the things you do
I'm here 'cause I've got nowhere else to go
So I fray from the things you say
But when everything you know comes apart
Throw away all the things they say

I don't give a **** what they think
I'm not afraid, but I'm not quite brave
And I'm teetering on the brink
I won't forget everything you gave

It must be hell to live with me
I do know the things you say are true
I'm sure I'll learn eventually
'Cause despite how it seems, I love you

It's only 'cause I never really grew
I concreal what I really feel
It's only 'cause there's too much in my head
Can't tell you how I really deal
It's only 'cause I hate to say you're right
How I act is all that I lack
It's only because this is who I am
On my back hiding in the cracks

I only want to disappear
Close my eyes and just never wake up
I'm sick and tired of being here
I'm drowning, I just wanna give up

So I lay here hiding inside my mind
Blaming you for the hurt that's mine
Masking the scars of my reality
'Cause through them, my pain does reveal
Because of you, my edges are fraying
And all life's colours are graying
So now I choose to look the other way
Throw away everything you say [comments] => 7 [counter] => 204 [topic] => 32 [informant] => MoonlitAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

wow.. i really really felt this i can see you love staind just as much as i do maybe even more and you truely feel the words in their songs how they are supposed to, your poem touches emotions some only dream of getting close to a really great write well done.... ........Sometimes when your out of rope, the way to climb back up is unclear the walls you build around yourself, i guess they also keep you here. are you afraid of what they think?, whoever they happen to be? or are you hiding from the scars of you reality- staind
amazing write luke
