you passed me that yours

My rose had no thorns
so seemed that yours

Together we shared
the sun above us

Our petals hid each other
when rain sent from heavy clouds

One day we were planted
in one garden

you showed me your lovely petals,
you showed me your hidden thorns

I whithered, could not share your sun
nor protect you against the rain

Then suddenly another rose
seemed to save us both

A lot of grass around us
fertail soil to keep us strong

But something rotten in the air
putting me down

The fertail soil seemed to be trick
my rose felt surrounded with weed

wanted to grow up so high,
to escape from this false paradise

the rose asked the sun
the rose asked the rain

she was shown the light
she was shown the way

my rose found your hidden thorns
like once, but now there were many more

The petals of my rose are lovely again
but will never more be passed the same way....

aika, this was one of the most beauitful poems I've ever read. I love roses, and use them many times in my writes....but this time they were used so delicately, and yet with thorns that hurt! It truly touched my heart Aika...I was amazed to see you write that you grew to get away from the weeds. For Bad Associations ruin useful habits...whether you are a plant, forest, or a human creature...stay away from the bad.....your good will not rub off on them...but their bad can demolish you!
Loved this poem....absolutely beautiful in ever say!
lovingcritters....i love you
ConSue
I almost missed it...
surely glad I didn't
