her thoughts dwell on the past happy days
she thinks frames not real time all young
there are no more realities just patchwork
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone

ocassionally she will surface i have her back
then she is gone again lost to me oncemore
is it only her own world or can i still touch her
how fast the years pass its christmas again
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone

the lights are all up she watches and watches
she will talk sometimes but only in the past
i cant explain to her she doesnt understand
her strength weakens rapidly shes always tired
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone

once upon a wonderful dream she use to laugh
to see those days when she was so vibrant
in her youth she had so many dreams
were they fufilled does she have any regrets

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
