Santa's elves overworked wanted to take a break
They needed to have some time away for sanities sake
Santa said now is not the time for Christmas is on it's way
We have no time for a vacation can't even take a sick day

There was a little elf his name was Rollie
He was responsible for keeping all the others jolly
What a job it was this year for everyone was cranky
A harder job no one could face frankly

SHELBY:

Rollie did the best he could to add holiday cheer
But the rest of the grumpy elfs just wouldn't hear
At the end of his rope he decided to jump up and cheer
Yippy for me I'm the only one who's happy
As he waved his arms in the air, he then did a stand
on his head and messed up all of his hair

Santa stood back and stared at Rollie with wide eyes
watching his funny antics he was really surprised
then at once Santa let out a laugh that rang through the air all of the other elfs looked up to see what was going on out there

LOWMAN613:

They noticed that Rollie was happy with delight,
so they all decided to be happy that night,
They all shouted out "Hurray for Rollie",
For he made us understand that Christmas is Jolly,

So they all gathered around Santa to givve him a big hug,
Then Rollie looked over to give Santa a tug,
"Thank You Santa for now I truly believe,
That being happy puts the JOY in Christmas Eve!"

POETRYGODSLOVE:

Santa said to Rollie
well ho ho ho
that is right
but you see rollie
one more thing you need to see
and that is what you mean to me
You put the jolly in Santa
can't you see ho ho ho
I am as happy as can be...

everyone gathered all around
to see what Santa was ho hoing about
Rudolph with his nose so bright
is about to guide the sleigh tonight
but Dancer said with his eyes all a glow
Why not take Rollie on this big show...

So Rollie jumped in and sat on the gift bag
and started singing
which wasn't to bad
but Mrs. Claus
Jumped on and she was jolly to
and thought she would add a line or two...

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO
from Santa and Me
WE SURE DO LOVE YOU....

FULL_BLUR:

So Santa looked to Rollie, his cheeks a'red
"now time no time to be heading for bed!

tonight your task is great me dear boy,
to each child, it is you who shall deliver a toy!

and so to the sled young Rollie did run
helping Santa on Christmas, oh what great fun! [comments] => 4 [counter] => 556 [topic] => 45 [informant] => YPDC_Group_Writes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => group )
