Grief

The days and months go by
Yet my eyes are still not dry
I yearn to hang onto your memory
Fearing that I will forget the
The weight is strong upon my soul
When will it leave and let me be whole?
What could I have done
To help you relive the weight so you could run
Were my eyes blind?
Were my ears clouded and unable to hear your mind?
You decided to leave
Now I must grieve
Why could I not feel your pain?
Why could I not clear your rain?
I know that you are with the Lord
His Spirit out poured
I know I will see you again
I miss you my friend
