My prayers go up to God
I pray that He would comfort you
And hold you with His might

I never can put into letters
The dearest of all wishes
But I send you a million hugs
For they break a million fetters

I know not what to say to you
I wish I knew the words
That could dry each tear that falls
But words will never do

Instead of words, I send a prayer
To God in heaven above
He said He would watch over you
He knows your pain, He cares

I wish to take away your pain
And take you in my arms
And them give you a brother’s hug
And make you smile again

But I’m too far, all I can do
Is write some words on paper
And send some earnest prayers to heaven
‘Cause God will be with you [comments] => 4 [counter] => 311 [topic] => 32 [informant] => wachumiri [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

How loving, kind, compassionate, and true.
A wonderful friend through and through!
This was a most touching poem, and I know she will gain much comfort from it too!

*tears* Oh David, you're such a special friend to me... you're here for me without really being here. "my Heart Goes Out To You" deeply touched my heart, and I was so thankful for it when you sent it to me, and I read it the morning of his funeral. I knew you were with me in thoughts.
