I loved you, as much as a friend could,
But that wasn’t enough for you.
You selfishly put our friendship at risk
By professing your underlying love for me
Even though you knew it wasn’t mutual.
Foolishly you hoped for a romanticized fairytale ending
Where the unlikely guy gets the girl,
But this is real life with real consequences for your choices.

I rejected your love but not your friendship
And we could have been fine again,
But you couldn’t take back those feelings
You had already given to me.
So you ended our friendship—
A friendship I depended on and needed dearly,
But you did not care.
Don’t you dare say you tried to spare me pain
By removing yourself from my life.
You caused me great anguish and grief, more than I could bear.

I hate you.
I hate what you’ve done to me
And what I’ve done to you.
I loved you, as much as a friend could,
But that wasn’t enough for you.

Hey, I's OK. Hate's a really strong word. Think about it. Do you really hate him? I know you hate what he did, but him? His person? Or his actions? You don't have to hate him because you hate his actions...

A very strong write, but hate is such an evil word. Best I think to just give it all time. Perhaps your hate will dim and you will still find friendship waiting for you.
